XVII STIC CCN-CERT | V Cyber Defence ESPDEF-CERT Conference

“Sharing to win”

Since July 1 of this year, Spain has presided over the Council of the European Union for the fifth time in its history. We are, therefore, facing a magnificent opportunity to show how we have acquired and evolved our cybersecurity capabilities and how our country has managed to become an international benchmark. Therefore, for the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN) and for the Spanish cybersecurity industry, it is especially relevant that the Spanish presidency coincides with the celebration of the seventeenth edition of the largest cybersecurity event held in our country: the STIC CCN-CERT Conference, which will take place in Madrid from November 28 to 30.

As a result, the participation and attendance at this Conference will be even more extensive and international. The usual audience of this meeting -Spanish and Latin American public sector, leading companies in the sector and universities- will be joined by an important representation of EU organisations and European professionals.

The XVII STIC CCN-CERT / V Cyber Defence ESPDEF-CERT Conference will be an ideal scenario to project at European level the Spanish model of cybersecurity governance -with the National Security Framework (ENS) as a reference-, as well as the national

capacities of prevention, protection, detection and response. To this end, the Conference will offer an extensive agenda of activities that will allow sharing with our counterparts the experiences, analysis, studies and national research on issues of the first order for European cybersecurity, such as trends and evolution of cyber threats, the development of Cybersecurity Operations Centers, the 5G and Artificial Intelligence landscape, military operations in cyberspace, product certification or the progress of quantum technologies.

This new edition of the largest cybersecurity event in Spain is held under the slogan "Sharing to win" because collaboration and cooperation are the essential values that motivate its celebration. These are also the principles that frame the development of multiple initiatives led by the CCN, aimed at coordinating the exchange of technical information on cyber threats. In this sense, the deployment of the National Network of Cybersecurity Operations Centres (COCs) is just one of the projects developed by the CCN that has already aroused the Commission's interest in its implementation at European level.

With the celebration of this STIC CCN-CERT Conference, Spain will lead at international level the promotion of collaboration and information exchange in the field of cybersecurity. We count on your participation to achieve this.
