IV STIC Conference & RootedCON Congress Panama Chapter

"Govern and share, keys to success in cybersecurity".

The two reference events of the cybersecurity sector in Spain, the STIC Conference and the RootedCON Congress, have joined forces to jointly organize a new international chapter of their meetings, this time in Panama, from April 10 to 12, 2024. Both have chosen the Panamanian city as a strategic location to celebrate the largest cybersecurity event in Latin America, preceded by the success of the three previous editions, held in Colombia (2021 and 2022 in Bogotá and Medellín, respectively) and in the Dominican Republic (2023). In this way, the Panama Convention Center will become the headquarters of the fourth international chapter of the STIC Conference to continue promoting alliances in cybersecurity.

The current situation of cyber threats requires increasing collaboration and exchange of knowledge to guarantee the security of cyberspace in all Latin American countries. Turning challenges and threats into opportunities for our societies is a challenge of the highest priority. For this reason, the National Cryptological Center (CCN), the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) and RootedCON, of Spain, and the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) of Panama organize this fourth edition of the international STIC and RootedCON Conferences. They also have the collaboration of the main authorities and institutions of the Panamanian country as well as the institutional support of the Organization of American States (OAS), the CSIRTAmericas network, and the Inter-American Development Bank (BID).

Under the motto "Govern and share, keys to success in cybersecurity", the event will once again be a meeting point for the main cybersecurity experts and professionals from Spain and Latin America. All of this within the framework of a unique environment and within a country that has become a meeting point between two oceans and two continents, the greatest exponent of interconnection in all its meanings.

The #STICPANAMÁ will be a space for learning and collaboration between all countries where they can strengthen joint efforts in the fight against cyberspace threats.
