VI STIC Conference & RootedCON Congress Dominican Republic
"A Digital Shield Against Cyber Threats"
From May 27 to 29, 2026, Santo Domingo will become the epicenter of Ibero-American cybersecurity with the celebration of the 6th STIC Conference and the RootedCON Congress. For three days, the Dominican city will bring together institutions, experts, operational commanders, and professionals from the sector with a common goal: to build a true digital shield capable of preventing, detecting, and responding in a coordinated manner to threats affecting governments, critical infrastructure, businesses, and citizens.
The event, organized by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN) of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), the Joint Cyber Command (MCCE), and RootedCON, from Spain, along with the National Intelligence Directorate (DNI) and the National Cybersecurity Center and National Cybersecurity Center from the Dominican Republic, consolidates its international dimension following the success of its previous editions in Bogotá (2021), Medellín (2022), Punta Cana (2023), and Panama City (2024 and 2025). With each iteration, the event has strengthened its role as a leading forum for knowledge exchange, the forging of alliances, and the promotion of shared capabilities in Latin America.
Under the theme “A Digital Shield Against Cyber Threats”, this sixth edition aims to bring together key figures to strengthen the regional cybersecurity ecosystem. Participation will be encouraged among all members of CSIRTAmericas, in coordination with the Organization of American States (OAS). The event will feature parliamentarians capable of promoting the regulatory and governance dimensions in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); ICT and cybersecurity officials from public administrations; and high-ranking officials from the Dominican Republic.
The Cyber Defense Commands of the Armed Forces of Ibero-American countries and Portugal will also play a significant role, with the involvement of the Ibero-American Cyber Defense Forum (FIC). The participation of personnel from the State Security Forces and Corps will be encouraged, given the operational importance of their role in the investigation, attribution, and response to cybercrime and other emerging threats.
The private sector will have essential participation, not only through companies sponsoring the event, but also through the involvement of companies from all strategic sectors—energy, tourism, telecommunications, banking, industry, transportation, health, and technology—that need to strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities to protect their information, ensure business continuity, and safeguard the future of their organizations. Alongside them are the universities and academic centers, key players in talent development, research, and knowledge transfer.
With this new edition, the 6th STIC Conference & RootedCON Congress reaffirms its commitment to consolidating a stable space for cooperation among Ibero-American countries, promoting a shared culture of cybersecurity and digital resilience.
