Cyberspace as a Domain of Operations - Military and the European Union

This presentation provides an overview of the Cyber and Information Domain Coordination Centre (CIDCC) and its contribution to enhancing the cyberspace domain of operations within the framework of the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). It examines lessons identified from the CIDCC’s implementation as a PESCO project, focusing on fostering cooperation, interoperability, and information sharing among EU Member States. The presentation outlines key developments in cyber situational awareness, operational coordination, and capability integration. It concludes with recommendations for future institutional follow-on entities to strengthen the EU’s collective cyber resilience and strategic autonomy.
