Christof Opolony

Colonel (GS) Christof Opolony joined the German Air Force in 1997 and has graduated from the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich in 2002 as a Master of Science in Business Administration. After several appointments in the Air Force he attended the National General/Admiral Staff Officer Course at the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College in Hamburg from 2010 to 2012.

After a tour of duty in Afghanistan with ISAF in 2014 he had a 4-year tour in the German FMoD, Directorate-General for Planning. From 2018 to 2021 he was Action Officer Concepts and Strategy in the European Union Military Staff, Brussels.

In October 2021 he took over as PESCO CIDCC project coordinator at the German Cyber and Information Domain Service Headquarters, Bonn.

Since November 2023 he serves as the Director CIDCC, the Cyber and Information Domain Coordination Centre, located in Brussels.
